Hallowed Camp #2 – Edwin Smith

An open gate draws attention, invites a curious mind. My second picture is by Edwin Smith 1:

Open wrought iron gates are something that I find difficult to pass without taking an interest if not a picture. Kertész did railings and their shadows very well, but open gates have a very different feel. Of my collection of wrought iron gate photographs, Edwin Smith’s is the one I return to.
