Photographs changed the world much like the printing press before. Like poetry or great literature, a good photograph does more than merely ‘point’ to things in a scene. It gives sense to a scene, directing the viewer to see the scene in a certain way. It is the ensuing ‘felt thought’ that I find fascinating.
